Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the operator of the RouteMux service ("we" or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use the routemux.com website, console, and API, and the rights you have.

In one sentence: we collect only what is needed to provide the Service; the content you send through the API is used only to complete your request, is never used to train models, and is never sold.

Account information: email address, sign-in method (such as your Google account identifier), and language preference.

Payment information: top-ups are processed by Stripe. We keep only order and amount records; we do not store your card number.

Usage and logs: request metadata (model, token counts, latency, status codes), IP address, and device and browser information, used for billing, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

API content: the input you send to models and the output they return. We process it only to complete your request; see Section 2 for whether and how long it is retained.

Data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you are in another jurisdiction, using the Service means you consent to this cross-border transfer; we require data recipients to provide protection no weaker than the standard of this policy.

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and least-privilege access control.

Retention: account information and billing records are kept for the life of your account and archived for the periods required by law; request logs are used for troubleshooting and auditing and are deleted or anonymized once they expire; when you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where the law requires retention.

Providing the Service: forwarding requests, metering and billing, showing usage.

Security: fraud prevention, abuse prevention, account protection.

Improving the Service: optimizing routing and the product based on aggregated, de-identified statistics (never your specific content).

Notifications: essential notices such as service status, billing, security, and changes to terms.

We never use your API input or output to train our models or anyone else's.

Model providers: to complete your request, your input is forwarded to the provider of the model you chose and is subject to their data terms; we prefer channels that commit to not using API data for training.

Infrastructure providers: cloud servers, CDN, object storage, and the like, only as needed to provide the Service.

Payment provider: Stripe, for top-ups and refunds.

Legal requirements: we may disclose information as required by law, when legally compelled or to protect our and our users' legitimate interests.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use Cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and we use analytics tools to understand how the site is used. You can manage or disable Cookies in your browser, but some features (such as staying signed in) may stop working as a result.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and you can restrict or object to certain processing. Most of this can be done in the console; for the rest, contact [email protected] from your account email and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you disagree with our processing, you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you are located.

The input you submit through the API or conversations, and the output you receive, belong to you. We process this content only to provide the Service. We do not use it to train models, and no human looks at it — except to troubleshoot issues, handle abuse reports, or comply with legal requirements, and only to the minimum extent necessary.

The Service interacts with third parties (model providers, payment, analytics, and so on), and their own privacy policies apply to their processing. This policy does not cover any third-party website or service.

The Service is intended for users aged 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we find we have collected it by mistake, we will delete it as soon as possible; guardians who notice this can contact [email protected].

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the product or by email; continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept it.
